Netflix to stream BTS Comeback Live ARIRANG worldwide from Seoul's CineCube
Netflix has hosted a pre-briefing in Seoul to outline the vision and collaboration behind BTS’s Comeback Live: ARIRANG, a live broadcast set to stream worldwide on Netflix. The event is scheduled for the evening of the 21st at 8 p.m. at Gwanghwamun’s CineCube, with the network presenting the project to global media.
Netflix’s vice president for unscripted series and sports said the company has long helped spread Korean culture globally through dramas and films, and that BTS’s comeback live expands that reach into a major K-pop cultural event. Netflix has planned watch-party experiences for BTS fans in the United States, Brazil and elsewhere to gather in person or online around the performance.

Garrett English, the executive producer behind the Comeback Live, described a focus on blending tradition with contemporary elements. He said the production respects Gwanghwamun’s historical significance while creating a dynamic concert space that harmonizes BTS’s modern aesthetic with the venue’s heritage. He added that the camera design aims to convey both the scale of the performance and the closeness between members and fans.

Yoo Dong-ju, head of HYBE Music Group’s APAC operations, stated that Netflix is the best partner to realize HYBE’s fan-experience vision. He emphasized that staging a performance at Korea’s most iconic location, and sharing that experience with global audiences, offers a culturally rare moment that HYBE aims to disseminate worldwide.
For U.S. readers, the event illustrates how major streaming platforms are expanding beyond on-demand series into live music and global events. It underlines Netflix’s role in enabling cross-border distribution of K-pop beyond traditional music channels and showcases HYBE’s strategy of packaging live performances for international audiences. The collaboration also highlights how iconic domestic sites can become global cultural touchpoints, with potential implications for streaming strategies, international fan engagement, and the economics of live-broadcast music performances.
