US AI platforms expand in Korea as LG CNS partners with Palantir

LG CNS, the information technology services arm of South Korea’s LG Group, has signed a strategic partnership with Palantir Technologies to offer Palantir’s platforms to domestic corporate clients. The agreement was announced ahead of Palantir’s AIPCon conference, with the signing ceremony held on the 11th local time.

Under the pact, LG CNS will tailor Palantir Foundry and Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) for each customer, enabling a unified data environment and AI-assisted decision-making.

To drive implementation, LG CNS will establish a dedicated FDE (Forward Deployment Engineering) team to work with Palantir on identifying and executing high-value AX deployment projects across industries.

Expansion will begin with LG Group members, after LG CNS completed a proof of concept for applying Foundry and AIP to quality-control processes at one LG affiliate.

Internally, LG CNS has linked its own data platform and analytics with Palantir’s Foundry and AIP to monitor operations in real time and to build risk prediction and decision-support capabilities.

LG CNS President Hyun Shin-gyun said the alliance marks a turning point for scaling LG’s AX business to a global level by combining the group’s industry focus with Palantir’s AI platform.

Separately, LG CNS announced a partnership with OpenAI last month to help domestic firms adopt and use ChatGPT Enterprise.

For U.S. audiences, the deal signals continued cross-border deployment of American AI platforms in Korea’s manufacturing and enterprise sectors, with potential implications for supply chains, data governance, and the pace of AI-driven decision-making in global markets.
