Korea's LG CNS and Palantir form alliance to scale enterprise AI in Korea

LG CNS, the South Korean IT services arm of the LG Group, has formed a strategic partnership with Palantir Technologies, the United States-based data analytics software company, to accelerate enterprise AI transformation (AX) deployments in Korea. The agreement was signed on the 11th local time in the United States, ahead of Palantir’s AIPCon conference, and disclosed by LG CNS on the following day.

Palantir states that its platforms—Foundry, a data integration and operations platform, and AIP, which combines generative AI with an integrated data environment to support real-time decision-making—are central to the alliance. LG CNS plans to tailor Palantir’s core solutions to domestic customer environments and pursue a full-scale AX market entry in Korea.

To implement the partnership, LG CNS will establish a dedicated team, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), to work closely with Palantir. The FDE will identify high-value AX use cases across industries such as manufacturing, energy, electronics, and logistics, and lead their deployment. Initial expansion will prioritize LG Group affiliates that are actively considering Palantir’s platforms.

LG CNS already reported a concrete proof-of-concept with one LG affiliate focused on quality management, applying Palantir’s Foundry and AIP. Building on that PoC, the company proceeded to the broader business contract, with internal validations completed to connect the platforms with LG CNS’s analytics capabilities to support risk prediction and decision-making workflows.

Hyun Shin-gyun, LG CNS president, described the signing as a pivotal turning point for scaling AX capabilities to a global level. He said the collaboration would combine LG’s industry know-how with Palantir’s AI platform to deliver differentiated enterprise AI transformations for customers.

For U.S. readers, the deal underscores ongoing cross-border collaboration between American AI software platforms and a major Korean IT services provider to scale enterprise AI across Asia’s manufacturing and logistics sectors. It highlights how U.S.-developed AI tools are being localized and implemented in large Korean corporate ecosystems, with potential implications for supply chains, data governance, and regional technology markets.

Palantir’s presence in this arrangement signals a broader pattern of U.S. tech firms partnering with South Korean incumbents to accelerate digital modernization in manufacturing and related industries. As Korea tightens its stance on AI and data security, such collaborations may shape how multinational platforms are adapted for compliance, interoperability, and risk management in one of Asia’s most technologically advanced economies.
